“The Dawn of 5G” was the conference motto this year, taking into account that, as we progress with the implementation of the European 5G Research, we will have extended opportunities to demonstrate with vertical sectors at scale the most demanding performance requirements of the next generation of communication systems.
EuCNC 2016 showcased 80 high-quality scientific papers published in the prestigious IEEE Xplore Digital Library, the world's highest quality technical literature in engineering and technology. More than 500 participants, 32 demonstration booths, 48 scientific posters, 10 special sessions and 10 themed workshops contributed to the success of the event. EuCNC 2016 was more global than ever, as more than 15% of the participants came from outside Europe, contributing significantly to the global discussions on 5G. The conference has attracted prominent figures in the 5G domain, such as high-level keynotes from the US and from China.
