Portable devices make it really accessible for generating and sending e-mails almost instantly and on the go. But what if they could by sent just by thought? Brain-Computer Interfaces may make it possible soon.

Researchers at the HIVE FET Open project showed to the world the feasibility of direct Brain-to-Brain communication in 2014 with a pioneering publication. In a recently published article Giulio Ruffini, the project Coordinator, untangles the discovery for BBC in an article addressing this remarkable application of Brain-Computer Interfaces.

The HIVE consortium spans researchers from several countries in Europe, including Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Greece and the United Kingdom. The coordinator is Starlab, an SME with an interest and track record in the exploitation of the project technologies.
