Citizen facing European TV and Video News Portal

This Call for Proposals seeks relevant ideas for AI-based services that leverage the richness of data in the media sector to revolutionise how content is created and consumed, allowing to create new revenue streams for the sector.

For example, the application of AI driven technologies has a great potential for translation and/or subtitling. Other services could use AI technology to create new personalised and on demand content (news, documentaries, fiction, sports) stitching together existing video material in a seamless way. Newspapers might want to use AI to create visuals that accompany textual content. AI can also contribute to new ways of searching, organising, or showcasing content, also in light of preparing immersive experiences.

To this end the project will prototype an AI-enhanced platform that serves as a central hub for content creators and distributors, offering advanced tools and services. The prototyped platform should be innovative by looking to two key focus:

  1. Seamless Content Integration and Personalisation
  2. Advanced Content Discovery and Organisation
