The MEDIA strand of Creative Europe programme launches a yearly call for proposals, Films on the Move, to promote the circulation of non-national audiovisual works across the EU.

Sales agents and distributors are supported in their joint pan-European promotion strategies for distribution of films outside their country of origin in cinema theatres primarily, but also in streaming platforms. The focus of the distribution projects is on high-end European films that will be promoted for their theatrical and online releases across a wide number of territories in Europe, and the goal is to enlarge the audience for European works. The distribution strategies will last between 12 and 24 months, starting at earliest at the beginning of 2023.

Following the 2023 calls for proposals, 30 films have been selected and will be available in the territories indicated in the list below. The list currently includes the selected projects under the first cut-off and will be complemented with the results of the second cut-off.

Please note that distribution is not limited to the mentioned territories and could be further expanded.
