DESI blev genberegnet for de foregående år for at afspejle ændringerne i valget af indikatorer fordelt på 4 dimensioner af DESI (ny DESI-struktur), korrektioner af de underliggende data og sammen med genberegningen af EU-gennemsnittet (fjernelse af Det Forenede Kongerige). Pointene og rangordningen kan således have ændret sig i forhold til tidligere udgaver.
