Startup Europe Erfolgsgeschichten

Um zum Aufbau eines starken europäischen Ökosystems beizutragen, in dem Start-up-Unternehmen florieren können, wurden im Rahmen des Programms Horizont 2020 neun Projekte finanziert. Im Rahmen der Projekte „Startup Europe“ wurden 770 ausgewählte Start-up-Unternehmen in 39 Ländern beschleunigt. Das Innovationsradar ermittelte ein hohes Potenzial für Innovatoren im FuI-Programm und unterstützte über 500 Innovatoren, die anschließend mehr als 600 Mio. EUR an Wachstumsfinanzierungen aufbringen konnten.

Launch of the Digital Innovation and Scale-up Initiative (DISC)

In order to address the investment gap in Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe (CESEE) in the digital economy, the European Commission together with the European Investment Bank, the European Investment Fund, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the World Bank Group agreed to launch the Digital Innovation and Scale-up Initiative (DISC). The initiative, launched at the Digital Assembly in Bucharest, is setting up the first regional investment facility that specifically targets digital innovations and the scale-up of digital startups in the CESEE region.

The MY-GATEWAY EU funded project under the Startup Europe initiative selected 17 startups from the Central and Eastern European countries to pitch at the Startup Europe Summit. The winner of this edition is the successful Romanian startup Ringhel which offers management solutions for the Power and Gas business.
