Commissioner Breton participates in the Digital Assembly 2022 to mobilise digital support for Ukraine

Tomorrow, Commissioner for Internal Market, Thierry Breton, will participate online in the annual Digital Assembly, the occasion to discuss and exchange views amongst experts, administration and industry representatives, researchers and other digital policy stakeholders.

He will open the event with a keynote speech on new technological developments and the twin green and digital transition. Later in the afternoon, together with Ukraine’s Minister for Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, the Commissioner will speak at a high-level event to mobilise financial support and essential equipment donations for Ukraine’s digital sector. 

The Digital Assembly 2022 is a high-level event co-organised by the Commission and the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which will take place on 21 and 22 June in Toulouse, France. In addition to support to Ukraine, discussion topics will include the future of the Internet, Europe’s digital value chain, the climate transition, the protection of minors online, as well as digital skills.
