Cancer Image Europe (EUCAIM - https://cancerimage.eu/) invites patients, carers, healthcare professionals and members of the public to join a public webinar on the future of cancer care. The event will take place on 26 November 2025, from 11:00 to 12:00 CET.
EUCAIM is the flagship project implementing the European Cancer Imaging Initiative, a key action under Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan. It aims to enhance cancer diagnosis and treatment across Europe by integrating advanced imaging technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), while ensuring the secure and ethical use of patient data.
The webinar will explore:
- Why EUCAIM matters for patients, including its contribution to earlier detection and more accurate treatment
- Patient perspectives and the importance of trust, transparency and engagement in AI-supported healthcare
- How EUCAIM operates in practice: secure data sharing, the role of hospitals and researchers, and robust privacy safeguards
- Clinical applications and the potential long-term benefits for cancer care across Europe
This one-hour session offers a valuable opportunity to learn how innovation in imaging and AI is helping improve patient outcomes, in full alignment with EU data protection and ethical standards.
