European Union, 22 December 2025 – The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking has launched a call for expressions of interest to join its Stakeholders Group, an advisory body representing the full connectivity value chain, from operators and vendors to vertical industries, public authorities and investors. Appointed members will serve renewable two-year terms, providing input on strategy, research priorities, standards, spectrum and industry adoption.
At the same time, SNS JU released its 2026–2027 Work Programme, allocating over €240 million in EU funding, including €22 million in 2026 for five targeted projects focused on 6G foundations, AI integration, devices, testbeds and international collaboration, notably with India. The programme sets the stage for a much larger €220 million 2027 call, reinforcing Europe’s global positioning in next-generation networks.
